About her
As a dynamic private enterprise that has consistently expanded within Bangladesh’s competitive industrial landscape, Jamuna Group upholds strong corporate values. Among these, its most vital asset is its human resource, guided by the visionary leadership of its Managing Director, Mr. Md. Nurul Islam.
The name Jamuna Group is intrinsically linked with Mr. Md. Nurul Islam—an architect, pioneer, and distinguished industrial leader in Bangladesh’s private sector. In 1974, he initiated Jamuna’s journey with a clear mission and vision: to contribute to building a prosperous and self-reliant Bangladesh following the country’s independence.
Jamuna Group began its operations in 1974 through Jamuna Electric Manufacturing Co. Ltd. In 1975, the company pioneered the manufacturing of electrical accessories and fittings in Bangladesh. Over the years, Jamuna Group of Industries (JGI) evolved into one of the country’s leading conglomerates, expanding across multiple sectors as reflected in its corporate growth timeline.
